The same way a mantra or a prayer, after having been recited hundreds of time naturally becomes internalized,
We practice bowing…
Until it becomes an internal practice, making it possible for us to enjoy inner bows as we go about in our lives outside the dojo.
We practice inner bows to every person, sound, sentence, situation.
Bowing is a practice of physical self-flattening,
We practice humility,
By physically folding our body.
It is a manner to smoothen and fluidify our relation to a reality we have experienced so far.

Hmm… It is true that a practice can become ingrained with repetition.
The danger being, it becomes a mere habit, and meaningless.
Maybe we need to realise when to change practice.
