Basically, the only activity that matters is that of observing the different layers of consciousness.
Any other occupation is a by-product, a focus on objects, without taking into account the real subject.
This observation of the layers of consciousness is the learning of the architecture of the soul.
We call it: prayer, meditation, silence, presence, relationship with God, immersion in Being…

It occurs to me that observing one’s own consciousness is the ultimate in self-examination; perhaps, at once, the easiest and most profoundly difficult.
