Matthew, thanks to a practice-scale repeated a long time ago and inviting himself today into the sitting practice, breathes more fully, more deeply,
He realizes that it has been months since he had used this scale in the symphony of his practice.
Months since his breathing was superficial and his general state extinguished.
Thus, practices, practice in general, may not seem useful at the moment, or not necessary.
However, it plants the seeds that would allow the fruits to ripen and fall in the field of practice and of the future life.

Even if, eventually, there is no difference.
can’t think of an ‘advanced’ practice that would not be extremely simple.
Other discourses are either ego-flattering of marketing wrapped as spirituality,
which also boils down to the same.
