« My Master Said…. »

There necessarily comes a time in spirituality when the book ceases to be what it was: a « tool of valorisation », the additional stone on which one will be able to use to enlarge by a few centimeters the platform on which one stands before the world, the box in which one will be able to come and seek such or such element of a teaching, such a quote usable in public,

There is a time when the book ceases to be a foil.
The same thing can be observed in the master-disciple relationship

Quoting the master, « my master said this…. » It is boasting about one’s own journey, standing on the shoulders of a master to appear greater, and, if it were an authentic realised being, it is not honoring this master, nor his teaching.
