Spiritual Success

In a spiritual approach, what to do with this more or less persistent or discontinuous will which consists of ‘wanting to receive’ ?

In the same way that the disciple in his profane life can be led to nourish a professional ambition, this same projection of oneself crosses him while he sits and watches for silence.

To succeed.
To be recognized
To become someone
To be a master
To deliver a teaching
It is difficult not to recognize this approach as a component of simple progression
Along a certain tradition, within a certain religion…
To become a monk,
To occupy such a function

What is the part of compensatory projection or reproduction of the energies of suffering known in profane life?
What is the authentic part of abandonment and devotion?

Can one of its two components be totally absent?
How can one mutate into the other?

Or again: to hope not to nourish any ambition of this type so as not to tarnish the “purity” of the spiritual journey or the sincerity with which you adorn yourself

isn’t it, here again, an ambition not to have one ?
A final contortion of the egotistical navel within the pipes of the spiritual machine room.

Leave everything there
to have nothing, to want to have nothing
without wanting to have nothing.
