Consciousness is the thread,;attention, the needle,
and the moments of our lives are the sum of the holes along the stitching line.
Attention is the visible face of deep consciousness, as well as its conduit within the fabric of our existence.
Each hole is an opportunity to pierce the needle of attention and allow ourselves to be stitched back together by the thread of Consciousness.
Each hole is a moment of awakening to reality.
Attention is thus the pivot that allows consciousness to permeate the moments of our lives.
When practice is absent, our existences are nothing but a long, opaque fabric awaiting attention.
Samsara.
Then life seems the ultimate illusion. Consciousness may live, but life – what we call life – is merely a construct it pulls together, for the time being. It is our challenge to be aware of that.
