What people say is all wrong.
There is life to be found on the other side of the upward slope.
The intensity, the edge of youth does not wear away.
The burst of life we feel as we sing out loud along to a tune
and let ourselves be carried away by emotions, as we feel them swell and go tidal,
reach the rear or our eyes, spray a few droplets and start receding until another wave thunders in the background…
…This does not disappear. It remains as strong as we grow older.
It is still washing our bodies and souls along the waterfalls of our inner relief
Call it internalized, spiritualized,
Or don’t name it at all.
Write about it only if it allows you to experience it.
Don’t fake it. What you fake is not it.
Live it, acknowledge it as it draws an imperceptible smile on your face.
Now go about your day, fully.
