In Matthew 6:6, when Christ invites you, as you pray, to ‘go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen…’
…He is not doing anything else but inviting you to sit quietly and listen to the Presence.
Your inner lodge, where the worlds appear, there is ‘your room’.
‘Close the door’ : Jesus encourages you to dig your silence deeper, as, in the same movement, the world has withdrawn.
This place is ‘secret’. It is the bottom of your most intimate self, the consciousness of your consciousness.
