Reducing the virginal figure to the spectrum on sexuality is a regrettable development.
This is always the result of persisting ignorance and refusal to enter the true practice of prayer, or sitting,
The ignorance of those sticking to mindlessness, limitation, partition.
A virgin spirit is what we need to have in any place and under any circumstances.
What is the Virgin doing ?
She keeps welcoming God.
Taking care of this virginity through the big and small situations of our daily lives is our practice.
Remain virgin soil, work on preventing the heaping up of dead skin over our eyes.
Mary teaches how to grow welcoming space in our lives.
Become a virgin in silence
Remain like Mary, Kannon, like all bodhisattvas….
Remain virgin, not against reason, not against the world,
But beyond them.
