The Art of Sitting

Again, this is an old post I dug out and dusted out while preparing the next book…

It is not because we communicate on a superficial level,
That our deeper Being remains silent.

And it is not because our true Nature has to emerge,
That it cannot do so in a trivial shape.

Therefore, when lost at the surface, watch the bottom
And trust the bottom, when it wears its coat of shape.

No shape, no bottom
And no bottom, no shape,

Our inner Being talks through the form of our meditation,
Therefore, the form is paramount.

This, is the Art of Sitting.
When the pipe is fairly straightened up, water flows easily.
As water naturally flows, the pipe straightens.
