According to the Sutra,
Where there is strength, drive, enthusiasm, vigor,
There is awakening.
These are various possible translations to the Virya Paramita (The Perfection of Energy).
There is no contradiction between what these lines imply and our already-awakenened Buddha Nature (Tathagatagarbha).
Awakening lies in the movement of life to attain awakening.
It take the will to take the Awakening Path to unveil an already-awakened disciple
And conversely.
For a bodhisattva,
In the way he sets his mind,
Resides the deepest of minds.
