No Doubt

Our society, our souls, are sick from the absence of doubt and sick with an excess of doubt:

-The absence of doubt is that which we display and show as an answer to the injunction to self-confidence. (« Be someone, have a personality »)

This is what urges us to assert ourselves. Constantly, any break in the chain of affirmation is eminently suspicious.
So, we destroy anything that may present a hint of doubt. Our bodies, our looks, our voices persistently scream all this long-contained doubt.

Letting doubt exist within ourselves,
Is really being who we are,
Knowing oneself as a being of doubt,
Is really asserting oneself.

These behavioral deviations on an individual and collective scale
are confined to the superficial crusts of our being.
We wander there, cut off from the center.
Only in this center can we combine the invigorating palpitations of doubt
and the deep certainty of truly being.
